How to Run Chatty – Part One

Learning to run chatty may take a bit of time and patience but it will be worth it. So here is our first tip to help you master it.

Do the talk test.

Chatty pace is gentle enough so that you are able to say a whole sentence without a noticeable intact of breath at the end.

Try saying a nursery rhyme, reciting a poem or the words of a song as you run. If you’d rather not be seen talking to yourself, why not greet someone as you pass them.

Pick a dog walker, then you can say how cute, huge, fluffy, interesting their dog is.

Watch out for your breathing. If you have to take a bigger breath at the end of the greeting then try slowing the pace.
